Driver shortage is code for cheaper drivers.

There's no shortage of drivers just cheaper drivers.

Turnover in trucking is profitable for companies.

Thanks for the info. Got a chance to check out my roommate's Century today since he just got back from a few runs. I wasn't as worried about bed space as I was driver seat space for my legs and knees. I need to be comfortable while stuck inone position for long periods of time, I think we all knows this. Granted every vehicle is different when it comes to leg room. My '87 jetta 4 cyl 5 spd has more leg room than my '97 escort 4 cyl 5 spd.

As far as recruiting I have yet to speak to an ACTUAL recruiter. I've only been able to talk to the "Recruiting Assistants". I was told I won't talk to THE recruiter until I apply for the job (Which won't happen until Jan. )

Well heading to school at the beginning of January then off to Indianapolis for orientation. I was expecting to go to Carlisle Pennsylvania since its closer but maybe they've changed things. Anything I should know about the Indianapolis OC? Right now I'm planning to take my own vehicle there just so I have access to transportation in case I need it.

They have good food. It's nicer than the Schneider facilities in Ohio.

It's a nice facility. Near a lot of stuff for after work food from what I hear. Outside of my home OC I think I might like Indy the best. I did get a porterhouse at the Carlisle OC though. It wasn't great but hit the spot. That dude can cook.

    Where? Indy?

I still have yet to come across a better guy to talk to than the older bald guy at the West Memphis OC. Every time you leave he says be safe out there. I know is repetition and just a saying but it somehow feels nice. Good guy there.
