I'm caught up on scanning in, but pissed off overall. I'm only part time, was supposed to be back in Dallas Wednesday, it's early Friday morning and I just pulled into the flying j in channelview Texas 22min past my 14. The computer was nice enough to say my name and mention I was in "serious violation" :)

I've always wondered, what happens now for you? I'm going you didn't explode. I treat my clock like a time bomb lol. But in all seriousness, what does happen?

It's treated pretty similar to a critical event. Your dbl will talk to you about what happened. As long as it's not a regular occurrence, that's usually the end of it.

    Waggledaddy Thanks this.

I'm be waiting on that conversation, I've logged 4 Crits in the past 2 weeks. I'm not used to any of these electronics, I keep getting events while gathering speed to pass or when I'm in traffic. Not sure who my dbl even is, as I'm part time I seem to float between people. And I made them relay my load and re-deliver it 28 miles away in Fort Worth today. Pretty sure I am making some enemies up there in the Dallas office :-/

If your critical events are the "following distance" ones, the only way you'll get talked to about it is if you bring it up. If you do however, expect a full lecture about it. The kind of lecture only someone that's never driven a truck for a day in their life can deliver.

I can deliver that lecture to the point you'll be in tears begging forgiveness from Grimace, Grover, and Sheela Na Gis.

You'll be so moved that you'll donate 1/10 of your earnings to developing more safety technology.

I very recently tried talking my way into a truck with a camera in it. Didn't work. But that chrome they put on the 680 while not buying any cabinet doors was too tempting. Then as soon as I got out of the lot, within 5 minutes I had that event pop up. A bit of an epiphany popped in my brain.

And whatever. There's following too closely and there's being less than 2 seconds behind a truck on an upgrade while super heavy for longer than a minute. Yeah. Let's go ahead and get off the pedal and stop on that hill. No traffic around anyone and when I'm pulling it at 34 and he's going 33 100ft in front of me and onguard is going mental.....

Yup, and give me a case of beer and I can just barely make a driver think like a CSR. Give me a case of beer and a bottle of Jack Daniels and I can make a driver Think like Chris Loftgren
