They say you were driving. Not that you were away from home. It's a PITA to go through every single page of every single driver's logs and track zip codes or locations stopped in handwritten logs.

Well this is why the stupid Schneider has elogs now.
-
There's always been logs. Schneider can tell everything about a driver but not if there away from home?
And why a specific policy stating within 50 miles of their home operating terminal?
To cheat the driver is why. -
Per diem has always only been for 50 miles or more from home to re coop food and lodging costs.Travelling Accountant Thanks this.
-
Schneider Denies IT IF you pass within 50 miles of home oc even when you continue past. Also most drivers don't live within 50 miles of their home OC. My Home OC is Charlotte but I live in Tennessee. So if I were a company driver and drove thru charlotte on my way to Florida they wouldn't pay Per Diem, so it's there way of cheating a driver.
Now I'm not a company driver anymore but deceit is deceit.gentleroger and 91B20H8 Thank this. -
Well since we don't do 2018 taxes for another 10 months I doubt your accountant filed that deduction... .
-
-
I find that strange, since they make money off the driver and reduce their tax bill in the process.
-
I don't know I just can't believe the only way to get the tax deduction is thru the company you work for. It's a tax deduction allowed by the IRS.
The end times must be near...lol -
part of the new tax law. screws me out of it as "local". could at least claim partial days for 10 hrs or more on the clock...... talking 220 to 250 days......TennMan Thanks this.
