work your right foot exactly like you would when you float only difference is you will break the clutch friction as you slide it out of gear and back in. if you can float well you can double clutch.

I can definitely Double-clutch now thanks to my Trainer at Schneider, and the whole week that he made me Double-clutch. I am proud to say that I now have my own assigned Schneider truck, a 2012 freightliner Cascadia, and have been out on the road for about 3 weeks now. Seems like I tend to do a combo Double Clutch shift and floating. Meaning I Double clutch until I get to 6th gear so I can skip from 2-4-6 then seems like I like to float from there. Thanks to all of you guys for your advice and help. The reason I'm starting off with a starter company is because I have my previous experience in AG working for farmers, and the commercial companies don't seem to give you any credit for that experience.

Nobody at Schneider is double clutching during their day to day driving duties.
Nobody I've talked to at least....Even the trainers ( outside of orientation), don't seem care about it. -
Yeah my school and actually the state of Nevada has a dbl clutch policy I don't see why but ok I will do what they say till I'm on my own in a truck then it float city for me
