Currently off of working 70 hours a week, I clear between 1100 and 1200 a week, is this normal for other intermodal jobs ? There's a bunch of other cons like bad management, bad dispatching, lack of freight, lack of equipment, we have "slow" months and they blame it on train derailments. Then there's our sweet vacation package, 5 days after one year, maxing out at 20 days, no holidays off, meaning unless you burn a vacation day you will be working, whether it be christmas day or thanksgiving. The only other con i can think of is you do a lot of things for free, and our management is off site so they treat you terribly.
On the upside you only need 3 months of exp lol.
Basically anyone know of any other intermodal jobs in the midwest that have more benefits ?
