Oddest load I had was glue used on microwave popcorn bags.
Several years ago one driver had a load of ink that's used on airline tickets.
One load I had was an ingredient used in Summers Eve. Took it to the plant where they make that stuff in south Florida. Hooked the hose up to an unmarked pipe sticking out of a wall. They guy signed my bills, then told me to unload and hit the road when empty.

    Dan.S and coastietruckin' Thank this.

Wow, and they only do a couple days orientation at the yard? I guess the bulk of training and learning offloads and all is done on the road with the trainer?

No, no...2-5 weeks of training. Fortunately, there's no mandatory period. If your trainer sees you progressing rapidly, he'll release you to the safety officer before the 5 week period. Then you test out with the SO.

    coastietruckin' Thanks this.

I think any trucker should think twice about hauling a poisonous material that can cause long term or permanent damage.

I agree...and I did. I have a great appreciation for following proper safety protocol. It has been pounded into me over many years. I'll never risk my safety, or those of others, if I'm unable to complete a job according to proper procedure.

Life is a risk and we move forward in an appropriate fashion with our eyes wide open.

Trimac has a terminal in Bristol, PA which is just north of Philly and off I95.

Awesome, thanks for the heads up. I'm right across the river for Bristol. I'm going to put an app in today. I still have two months before I'm discharged from the military, but it won't hurt to apply now.

Thank you, I appreciate it. Maybe we'll see each other on the road! Good luck with Trimac.
