Schneider trucks!!

Do the inverters work when the truck is shut off? Specifically, if you install a refrigerator does the food spoil when the truck shuts off because the inverter cuts out?

 

From what I have been told... there are still some trucks that don’t inverters... and they only way to get an inverter... is factory installed. There are some trucks that have smart drive or something like that which I have been told is something that keeps your truck cool when it hot. Now if you have an inverter on the truck it does work when the truck is off but it will/can drain your batteries quickly depending on what you are using. We have an 1800W inverter on our team truck.... oh and you CAN NOT idle tases trucks unless it is over 79 degrees or under 20 degrees.

Ours is at 79 when hot and when it was cold... it seemed like it had to be 18* for our truck to idle. Let’s just say... i was using our bunk heater. Once I learned how not to kill the batteries. Lol

 

Few, don't have a clue where you got this info. Unless we're talking Lease Purchase, the fleet is bare bones with no APU except the 'test' models Schneider was trying out a few models on with the end result showing all were failures to Schneider standard.
CPAP needs will geta driver an inverter you'd buy at Walmart for twenty, nothing so large as to let a driver hookup a microwave, CPAP, refrigerator and other novelties.

Your information is years out of date. Every model year 2016 has a 1200-1500 watt inverter. Trucks purchased after March 2018 will have an app (southern divisions getting them first).
