Wow I would figure with walmart that you would be steady work. How many miles a week you get? Recruiter is saying between 1800 and 2000
schneider Walmart account?

As far as how busy it just depends. We were taking over the contract from Crete but the local dc still wanted Crete there and they had like a backup crew incase we were short. So sometimes the dc would just short us and fill up the Crete guys. Obviously not something that happens everywhere.

I run Walmart out of Wintersville. I can't tell you much about pay, as the different accounts differ. Also I don't know Gordonsville, though I've been loaned out to Washington Courthouse a few times, and they run pretty similar to us.
Anyway, we can generally run two loads per day, with 2-4 stops per load. That will vary depending on length of each load. For instance, I may start my day with a short 2 stop load, followed by a longer 3 or 4 stop. I may finish up back at the distribution center, or I may run out of hours and shut down at my last stop, or somewhere along the way back (rest area or truck stop - I aim for places I can get a shower!). But it depends on length of your assignments- an especially long load may take the full day (or more), or you may do two short loads and start a third.
The mileage they told you is accurate. I run a five day shift, and aim for 400 miles per day (actual miles; not paid). This week I may end up with ~1700, and that's a bit lower than usual. When I ran a six day schedule, 2000-2400 was normal. Again, this is actual- what I tracked on the odometer each week. So 1800-2000 is fair, I think.
You can do well on the Walmart accounts- if you're willing to work. If you run one load each day and then shut down, or fool around and waste time, or just quit early because you "feel tired," you won't do well. But if you plan to run out your 14 each day, take your 10 and start up again, repeat until your week is up, it's a good gig. Hope that helps.U.S. Otriad, Chewy352, KMG365 and 1 other person Thank this. -

if everything goes smoothly, you can make 2 trips per shift , Dry van in the morning, ( with 2,3,4 stops), on a last stop you can drop the trailer and take one empty(do not wait till they unload you) and after a trip with dry van , and the day goes closer to the evening, you will take a reefer, (2,3,4 stops) but you can not leave a trailer on a last stop
I just can tell you it's really depends how bad was traffic, how many stops you got and how fast Walmart will unload youchip1817 Thanks this. -
