    Now check me on this....... my former carrier had EOBR Q.C. and was anal about idle and fuel mileage.....so to defend myself I logged out. The truck counters still went up on the Q.C. but it wasn't charged to me. The Q.C. basically had two idle % and two mpg's like switching drivers and I didn't get the charge back.

    It was my understanding that the drivers performance is watched but if your logged out....who's it watching??

    I would guess that it was a "test unit". If all new trucks are being retro-fitted with apu's it would be HUGE news. But then again, what would I know :biggrin_2559:. Some of our regional intermodal tractors have the battery operated apu's. They only provide cold air as the tractors have bunk heaters. I've seen several otr test units as well. Most of them have the battery apu's.
