I think Schneider is just a few days and TransAm is 11 days. Those two have the shortest training period that I know of.

You will have to attend 2 weeks at the schneider academy and then out with a training engineer for 5 days. Much better option. I learned so much from my instructor and my training engineer was complete trash. Thank God I went with the company with the shortest amount of time with a trainer.

So my orientation is in a week, I was having alot of doubt about it since the pay started at .43 cpm. I wasn't even replying to the recruiter. But last night they emailed me, they offered me the same account at .49 cpm, I talked to the recruiter today and he said they did originally evaluate Me at .43 cpm but they did reevaluate me back to .49 cpm and it's 10$ an hour on duty if I'm not driving. Weird huh had to give them the silence treatment to get a better pay as a new grad lol.

For a beginning driver -- with zero experience -- that pay rate isn't bad.
Do yourself a BIG, FAT favor -- stay there AT LEAST a year.
Longer of course is better....(see prev posts on that).

Always remember, it doesn't matter if it's Schneider or anyone else, there's a reason why they pay what they pay. They have decided that there's a weekly rate that truckers will stand for.......my guess, in your case, around $1200 gross.
Good luck and best wishes. And Schneider really is a pretty good company. (Remember, if you're in that truck and you're not on your lunch break, for one reason or another, you're 'On Duty'.)

It's so strange for me to read about people in the modern era grossing what I did at Schneider in 2004.
For those couple/few years, I made $45-50k each year running Procter and Gamble...granted, I ran like someone who had mental problems, but even so, someone in the modern era should easily be making more than I did back then.
I just wish Schneider had kept up with the times.
Probably still a good choice for a rookie, but once you have your experience, it's a big world out there.Taker11, Freddy57, Savor the Flavor and 3 others Thank this.
