I had a good experiance with them. I started in mid June of 04. I always had good loads, good miles, and a good relationship with my STL. Only time I remember having to wait for a load was in PA and waited about 3 hrs before getting a dispatch. I was very happy there. I only drove for them 6 months and then got deployed with my reserve unit. When I got home a year later I called them and told them I wanted to spend some time at home and didnt want to be wondering the country just then. They understood and forgave the rest of what I owed them for the training. They didnt have to do that.
I was going to go back to them when I got home from my second deployment last year, but they werent hiring in my area. Now I've decided to go flat bed so I can get a better local job after a couple years.

you guys are complaining about getting too many loads, etc. I bet i am the only active driver last week who ran a total of 83 miles. I would LOVE to have the problem of driving 10.5 hours a day.

I've only worked with the Big Orange for just over a year now. I'd have to say that my exerience has been very different. I signed on as an experienced driver and went through their orientation program. It was rushed and left out a lot of information that a company driver would need to know. As for the working end, I joined to run team with a friend of mine already in their employ for a year. Six months after I started with them, they announced a new program for their best teams, called "Elite Teams". Without doing anything different that we'd normally do, we qualified and have been on the elite board since it's creation. We get plenty of freight, get home whenever we want and have a great DBL. I don't know what it's like on the solo side of things, but my experience with Schneider teams has been very good and I am very happy with my job.
