He's going to have to do a lot of getting over in this industry if attitudes bother him that much .

Hell, Schneider started me out at .25cpm back in 2004 after my training was completed. They sure don't believe in raising their starting mileage pay for new drivers after I quit. What a bunch of BS!

I worked for schneider back in 2000 too. It was a good company. they have changed immensely. I drove an old cab over for awhile. Then I was given a pretty nice truck. But now they are very different. I bailed.

That is a very fair package. Unlike other large companies who keep you at the bottom of the payscale for years

28cents starting rate is fair? Unbelievable.

I started at KLLM in 1991 at 22 cents per mile over 2 decades ago. With cost of living at current rates Anyone paying less the 33 or 34 cents per mile to start is defiantly sticking it to the new driver.

You will have to work for SNI for several years getting above average miles to even gross the current national average.
Of course the happy to have a job crowd thinks they are being fairly treated and will be happy to turn and burn to be in the botton 50%. Median is around $48,600. And it gets more depressing when you devide that income into avg hrs worked per year.
    Truck Driver - Tractor Trailer - U.S. National Averages Base pay only 10th% 25th% 75th% 90th% [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]$34,082 $39,354 $50,510 $55,396

    yes I said fair...

You prove yourself and you will be making more money in less than a year.

Look at Werner. They keep you on the bottom. At least with SNI, you work your way up.
