LOL, I had a dispatcher at my last company like that.
She just did not get that it wasn't possible to drive 850 some-odd miles in an 11 hour shift...
Perhaps she went to work for your company, or vice-versa...
I am very anxious to get started. I've been out of work for about a month and a half.
On top of that, I had to drop 2K on moving from FL to PA...
I feel the exact same way when it comes to the new Qualcomm.
I really like that messages now get seperated by in/out boxes.
The old QC was driving me nuts sorting through my sent messages the couldn't get deleted right away...
Aside from wanting to show them that I am able and willing to do my job well, I'm not wanting to screw up in my first few days.
This way of doing things could be tweaked a bit to NOT be so complicated...
Schneider's wacky Work Assignment procedures?

Ya made a good move coming north, but you may hate yourself in the winter, Pa can get pretty bad at times, and look where I'm from!!!
-
Not an issue for me, really.
I was born and raised in NW NJ.
Now my wife on the other-hand...
She's never seen snow in person.
She had never left San Diego prior to meeting me.
We moved from there to Florida and now we're in PA...
Well, I just got back from the little JCP orientation.
Thankfully, Schneider had a change of plans and is sending veteran "Flex" drivers out with all the new-hires for this dedicated account!
My Flex driver has thirteen years with the Great Pumpkin and told me not to worry about the paperwork and the trip planning.
He's going to be riding with me for a week or so until I feel comfortable with Schneider/JCP procedures.
I'm very thankful to be working for a company that doesn't just throw their drivers to the wolves, as it were, like my last one did!!!
Well, I suppose that's another thing I can add to my mental list of "pros" for this company.
Now all I need is a place to park my truck every weekend.
My leasing office called me up and screamed at me for parking the truck behind the complex.
Apparently, I'm not allowed to come home now, LOL...
If anyone knows a safe place to park in Allentown, please let me know.
My DBL told me that I'm allowed to park on the JCP yard for this next week ONLY, so.....
Yet again, I'd like to thank you guys for helping me out.
It's always nice to find an online forum that isn't filled with a--holes.
And, trust me, I've been to plenty like that...johnday Thanks this. -
Wow, I didn't know they did that. That oughta make your first bit of time a little easier. That's decent. So, you're on a dedicated account then?
-
i used to work or jcp right when u guys took it from swift down here in fla still remember the drivers not wanting to do the g.o.h but some very good drivers

getting ready to head out for another week on the road, off to hudson,nh then up to maine again.
-
You be safe now. NH and ME, two of the nicest places in the NE! Skowhegan by any chance?
-
GOH = Goods on Hangers, I believe.
Yeah, I guess they changed their minds again.
I had a FLEX driver with me today, but that it. (Something about them not having enough drivers for the account in this area just yet, so the FLEX guys are going to fill in with their own trucks).
I'm on my own now.
All in all, he said I did the paperwork pretty well.
I'm off to sleep for now and gotta be back on the truck by midnight.
But, to answer your question, yes, I'm running a dedicated JCP account.
I'm supposed to be home weekends, but since I live so close to the JCP warehouse, I'm sneaking home for the night...
Take care out there GS!
Talk to you soon! -
If it's any consolation, I've been here nearly 3 years, and I just got off the phone with my DBL in the last hour asking if there were a bunch of new load planners in Green Bay. I have been receiving the tightest timeframes on loads for the last month or so.
Now, I know they're trying to increase productivity and utilization of equipment. Fine. But I had to turn down two loads today before getting one I could legally do.
About your Mac18: You can submit as many as you need to, as it will overwrite it each time you send one. I do this frequently, but try not to send more than one correction in per day.
Or per hour, depending upon how I'm functioning!
(...and I love running Maine, even in the winter!)
