I just wanted to bring up a couple points for you to consider, OP.
If you have a criminal record or documented mental health issues, it is unlikely you will be hired.
School bus driver applicants are heavily investigated in many jurisdictions.
Driving a school bus used to be a place to go while tickets fell off your license, but no more. Not for years now.
When I worked at a transit authority, several of my co-workers drove school buses on relief. The people working for a school district made about $16 to $20 an hour. The people working for a contractor (Durham, First Student, etc) made $11- $16 an hour. 14 to 24 hours a week.
The pay varies widely from district to district. You'll have to call around your local area.
Good luck.racemaxx24, BigDog Trucker and Mike2633 Thank this. -
I would steer clear of bus companies, they don't have good pay or benefits. School busing is a buyer beware situation your better working for a district then a bus company, but it's certainly a thing you have to do home work on and it's not like driving a cargo van of wine around you've got kids and stuff on board, it's a big difference.

I would think that driving a school bus would aggravate your condition,not4hire, brian991219, buddyd157 and 2 others Thank this. -
With a screen name like "I love tequila", I think school bus driver is a perfect job for the OP.
