as much as i (and many others here) hate those SUPER BRIGHT strobe lights on emergency vehicles that blind the crap outta ya, maybe ALL buses ought to be ordered to have them..????

i hope the kids are ok, and this seems to me like a normal routine for the bus to stop where it did..

that trucker had better have had a reason why this happened....

i'd personally would make that trucker rue the day he decided to drive trucks, if i ever got hurt by his dumbarsery

Article said around 4pm, and looking at Google Maps he was eastbound so the sun wasnt in his eyes. Looks like he barely tried to slow down and there was definitely plenty of time to. Also, he locked them up at point of impact judging by the smoke, so the brakes worked..... hes lucky no one died, but he is toast

Good Lord! Their insurance is going to soar. Vary bad on the their part. I am surprised the bus driver didnt try to evade after the kids had departed. Even to pull to the side.

the 2 kids that got off just in time, and the bus driver didn't (to me) have a chance in hell.

It only takes a second of inattentive driving for something to happen.
On another note, buddyd157, enjoy your retirement. I retired 13 years ago, I'm still busy but I'm doing what I want to!

Holy ****! I don’t blame those kids one bit for running for their lives! If I was in their position I’d be doing the exact same thing!
That truck driver better PRAY that no one died as a result of his incompetence.
Seriously, how could you not notice a school bus that has stopped and dropped off children? Those buses are lit up like Christmas trees, flashing yellow and red lights, “Stop sign” arm extended and all!

    drvrtech77 and buddyd157 Thank this.

HENRY COUNTY, Ohio — A school bus driver here is being credited for her quick thinking in saving two students as a semi truck collided with her bus on Wednesday.

The bus driver, who is identified by The Crescent News as JoAnn Cousino, told the two students who were exiting the bus to run as the semi truck appeared to not be stopping, according to a news release posted on Archbold Area Schools’ Facebook page. The district said in the release that the crash occurred on State Route 6 at approximately 4:09 p.m.

The semi truck, driven by Kelly Braden.....
