I am looking to start school in 1 1/2 weeks. Options I have are CRST, Central and CR England.

Looking for pro's and con's on each regarding training/trainers, pay, guarantee of drivetime, etc.

Any information from people who live in TX would help as well.

Central is probably going to be your better choice. A member here by the name of Wedge just headed out with his trainer at Central. CRST and CR England have pretty bad reputations.

Swift may have it's issues, but they are perfectly sane compared to Crash Roll & Stunt Team & CR England. I bash Swift periodically, but I still take them any day over the other two. I drove for Swift, got my start there.:biggrin_25522::biggrin_25522:

I personally recommend Central. They are a smaller company then the other two and still have a "family like" atmosphere. When we drove for them on many occasions they went above and beyond to help us. Something that has never happened at any other company we worked for. They have very nice equipment. Pay is mediocre until you get some experience. Central does have a lot of bonuses though that really add up. Your schools are pretty much all going to be the same. They are just there to get you your license and get you ready to go with a trainer. If you are interested I have a bunch of Central picts on my profile. Also check out the Central threads on this website, I think you will find them very positive and informative. Bear in mind, this is my personal opinion and you need to find a company that is going to best suit your own needs. My recommendation to you would be to make a list of your wants and needs and research different companies websites to see what they have to offer. After finding a few that interest you give the recruiters a call and talk it over with them further. In my experience over the road I do recommend staying away from the mega-carriers ie: Swift, Werner, England etc...

Welcome to the forum and good luck to you!
