I saw a guy a few weeks ago at a walmart DC driving a cabover. There were 2 of them in it I guess they were team driving.

He moved a bit so I could pull in a spot, so I went up to thank him and I said isn't it crowded with 2 of you in that thing?

He was like no its a condo, there is plenty of room...lol

He said he bought it a few weeks ago for something like 4 or 5 thousand and had made 18 thousand with it so far..

Guess he liked it for that anyway.

Yeah, I see them all the time, dirt cheap on CL... it's hard to not think.. buy the #### thing and run some regional stuff some where you can run off a load board and pick the right loads.

A small Pete is way better than a cabover due to the physical contortions required to get into and out of a coffin sized bunk and doghouse. If you forget you are in a small space you bang your brain pan on the roof of that sleeper in the morning inducing a migraine. Although the interiors are very plush so it does not hurt your head that much. When you are young it's not a problem.

But being able to stand up and stretch even in a midroof with just enough height to do it makes all the world of difference in habitability.

My theory on why cabovers went away is that they were just too small for people. Another theory might be that materials improved the tares on the condos... who knows. The COE was good for one thing in particular. Getting into and out of cold storage places that were problematic for the conventional.

The KW Areodyne was a step forward industry wide introducing more space.
