first off, NOTHIN IS FREE !!!
On the job training is ok, BUT, you are paying for the training.
1- did you make normal wage during training?
2- did you have to sign any contract of somekind as to "staying with the company for certain period of time?
I could go on, but I'm sure that you did NOT get your training for free, your paying for it somewhere, someway, somehow.......
Good Luck tho
school?

160 hrs of schooling, not counting the road range, which in my case was 50 hr's of driving on the range & city driving. We also had to have 1500 miles of otr training. My class went to Rome Ga. from Norfolk Ne. & back.

I worked for my company for 14 years as a receiver, they asked me if i would like to drive for them.
They let me pick the school and they payed the bill.
Went with a exp driver for 3 weeks and when i knew my routes turned me loose. -
Don't put too much thought into schooling. It doesn't matter where you go so pick which one will best suit your current needs. All trucking school does is get you prepared to go with a trainer, nothing more, nothing less! Actually, you will probably learn more on day one at company orientation then you did in school!
