I went to The Ohio Business College in Middletown. Great people, but the training lot is a mud pit. Just remember that they only provide you with enough to obtain your CDL. Nothing more
1 week classroom
2 weeks maneuverability
1 week road -
take a look into Millis Transfer out of Trenton,Ohio. read the reviews of the company in the Millis forum. Lots of happy drivers. Millis does training in Trenton.

That's who I spoke to. Very professional from the first phone contact to the sitdown with the recuiter. There is also Hammrick's, but besides trucking they offer courses in Nursing and Massage. I decided to go to a school that teaches truck driving and nothing more. I heard Roadmasters is also pretty good..

roadmaster is a very good school.
Drac1985 Thanks this. -
At TDDS you have a DOT physical and a drug test done within the first two days in school. It is on the schedule, so you really don't miss any class time. The doctor comes to the school and his 'assistant' is there too doing the drug testing (you get a little bottle and told to fill it half way, don't flush, etc.)
If you fail either, you're out of the school (FYI for those of you who KNOW you have no business taking a drug test). Yes, they WILL kick you out for failing the drug test. Count on it!! (I passed)Drac1985 Thanks this.
