I agree with the other posters, you need to get out of driving a truck. You telling us that a driver pays for lumpers shows that you have no idea what you are talking about, for the most part shippers or brokers or company if a company driver, pay the lumper fee, and ya seem to whine alot, fueling a reefer is no big deal along with keeping an on the temp.

What he said was, and this is true for the majority of companies is that it comes out as an advance but it will be reimbursed once the company receives the receipt.mattbh23 Thanks this.

Thanks for posting. Very helpful

You are wrong also, companies pay by comcheck etc. Every company that I pulled reefer for paid that way. There is no company that I know of that will expect a driver to carry hundreds of dollars on them to pay lumper fee's .

You are both right...
Depending on the company.
My company pays via EFS Check but it does appear as a cash advance on my settlement until they get their paperwork.highwayman, driverdriver and rocknroll81 Thank this. -

Yes I realize that companies will show an advance on your settlement but the driver still does not pay for lumpers unless the driver looses the receipt, but I took his post as the driver pays upfront regardless and then will get reimbursed.
-
That is exactly what happens...you just admitted that. It is an advance, if they do not get a receipt, they do not reimburse. The driver can either take an advance or pay cash and be reimbursed. That is their choice, either way. Yes, companies reimburse it, but the driver pays it up front no matter how you look at it. Otherwise, you would have a lot of dishonest drivers telling companies they were paying for lumpers when they are not.driverdriver and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.
