Any real info on the Scotlynn lease purchase.

 

Every company that does lease purchase is making money off the truck since they get much better deals than your average individual. You also pay a higher loan rate. They are in business to make money, not help people out.

I don't know how they treat their own employees and contractors but their brokerage when they contract with outside carriers sucks. Many years ago maybe 2013 or 2014 they beat me out of about 8 or 10 hours of detention pay. I got nothing after documenting it correctly and everything. Guess who hasn't booked a load with them in all the years since? It gives me a lot of satisfaction to see them calling me in a tight market like we've had for the past year and I don't bother to answer the phone. They're on the company I'm leased to DNU list also so there's that too. You can read the reviews about them and see that's how they do business but maybe they're nicer to their own people? I dunno tiger's can't really change their stripes.

 

I love Scotlyn.

 

Never had an issue with their brokerage side. Easy to work with. But still say no to the LP

 

Almost as much as Schneider ?

 

I don't like their hold music.

 

Who even pays full detention pay to begin with after enough hours? I’ll get $300 to be held over a day once in a blue moon and the fuel to run the reefer and truck on top of food and such makes it worthless when you miss a load. Just a part of the “business as usual”.

 

I've run a couple loads thru their brokerage lately and had no issues with them.
