    Its my Dad, he tends to idle a lot. Regardless, after changing the doser valve and regening, it went away two weeks ago. This time it happend while driving

    Looks like it was the Harness. Mechanic said thats whats causing the derate and SCR fault

    Doing a regen

    The speed sensor should be on the transmission tailshaft. You unplug it and avoid the 5 mph de-rate

    Again,after 1000 miles today. Check engine and derate light pop up.. anyone know what it can be

    Mechanic is saying EGR Cooler is plugged. That is causing it to throw the SCR code. Any input?

    That is a possibility. Without good EGR flow, this could happen.

    But I drive 2 days after getting the truck back then all of a sudden this light comes up. He says it needs to be cleaned

    Think of what you just said. Flow restricted enough to take a couple of days to show itself. There is also an updated EGR differential pressure sensor with venturi tube kit that was introduced a couple of years ago to address flow issues. I can post kit part# tomorrow morning for you.

    Well first time we drove an entire week.. after changing doser Valve and regening, it went away for week.. then we changed the harness and regened and it was good for 2 days. Hoping third time is a Charm.. cant keep going back to the shop for this
