Hey fellas, I was having intermittent ACM fail/Scr fail derate in so much time. Codes keep changing but last ones I had now are SA 16 P111186 and U029D. The last , if I read the manual correctly has to do with the 1st Nox sensor but what is the 111186? Would the Nox sensor being bad also give me the message that the ACM failed?
I started another thread here: 2014 780/D13 Exhuast temp/ACM/SCR, what?! But basically all the whole system goes out of whack if one little component fails. In my case it turned out to be a bad exhaust temperature sensor, the one on the bottom of the dpf next to the Nox sensor, and a bad DEF injector valve. So about 480 bucks in parts and about 2 hours doing it myself since I have never done it before. If there is no temp reading on any of the sensors, the ACM will "fail". If the acm fails, you will get derated. So it sounds really bad and can scare the heck out of you. I had ACM fail, SCR fail messages and people telling me the def pump was bad or the ACM module was bad..but if you go to the above link you will see some pictures I took , all of them individually will cause all these fail warnings and derate the truck to 5 mph..crazy.
