so I’ve got some dirt related scratches on the front bumper of my truck. Any products I can use to remove them? It’s mostly just scuff marks making the plastic a lighter color. It’s that black nylon/abs bumper on most t680s and Cascadia.

It looks awful and I’d like to fix it even tho it isn’t a large area. I take pride in the way I and my truck look even tho I’m a company driver.

    Lepton1 Thanks this.

i'd let it go. you might make matters worse, and the company mechanics will rat you out saying you damaged the equipment.

as long as the vehicle is clean and you ain't the owner, let it go.

If it is painted you can rub them out like any paint job or use one of those polymer pens.

What kind of a company mechanic would rat a guy out for taking care of his truck, and who would he rat you out too that would mind?

I thought about using some armorall finish renew and seeing what it does. I just didn’t know if they made a plastic polish that someone here has used on the black plastic on these trucks.
I wonder if a light buff with some wax would fix it?
I’ll test it on a hidden area before I go at the outside with it.

The kind that is thinking he's trying to hide something by fixing damage to the truck.
Sure it's minor, but they don't know that....

I’ve been through my company inspection bay twice and tractor shop once. If someone was going to have a cow over that I’d turn the keys in to them. I’ve stressed enough over little stuff I’m done with it.
I’m asking because I don’t like scuff marks it’s like saying I’m waxing it to hide something. No I just love the way it looks brand new.
My 2003 Chevy looks better then most trucks coming from the factory. This kenworth isn’t mine but it’s the one all shippers and receivers see me in. I want it clean and impeccable. Much like myself.

Don't use wax, try "Mother's" back to black. available at most parts stores. I think Walmart has it also.

Some mechanics, if they see you "fixing" something on the truck will assume you broke it and are trying to hide the damage you caused.
