I've made myself look like a jerk countless times, so they say, it's really no big deal.

 

I’m making an assumption that you only know Dave from being online here. That you haven’t met him, or worked for him, and with that assumption the faulty logic lays in what you think you know.

He cares that I’m profitable. He cares that I got good equipment, he cares that I get home, and he calls to make sure that I understand certain things about certain shippers to make my job easier. None of which is required if you don’t care.

 

How much of that would he do if you were not his employee?

 

Did I say you were a good boss?

 

And that is another fine example of what's wrong with the country today...

Well the impression I have of you is from a different thread. Someone who only saw you here would have a vastly different idea of you based on what has degraded into a thread of hyper emotional, irrational and utterly pointless pissing contest level postings. It's not good on anyone's part, but I suspect that you have a bit of a reputation to uphold. I would hope.... _/\_
