Ever pull a container out of a railyard/port and the seal was missing/didn't match? You'll find out right quick just how much making sure the seal is correct matters when you do. They take cargo security pretty seriously, and some shippers/receivers, especially those that use containers to move freight, do as well.
Are you picking up in Mexico or is the trailer already on this side of the border? If it's already here then I don't know why you'd be worried about border patrol unless you're taking it to Canada. I agree with what you're doing though. CYA!
You can even get yourself a girlfriend, well, sort of. Get some cut off jeans and some kool-aid lipstick and whoola!
Ah, this I did not know. Thank you for correcting me. Outside of a trip to Oregon a few years back(Amtrak) I never been west of Wisconsin and currently run oh, pa, and wv.
Dude I go to the border alot, and if that seal does not match paperwork, don't even hook to it, much less move it. Could very well have been popped open this side an now you have 3000 lbs of blow taped inside the tires. Don't be foolish, I wouldn't move it no matter what the company says, but I live in south Texas and know better. Even if you stop to piss, get your flashlight out and check your truck before pulling off. A seal not right? No way.
So they just wanted to write in the new seal number on bills without finding out why it was changed spoke with them in person so they did not check without telling me. Told them to take me off the load they did
Was talking about when he said prison time....already said he was doing the right thing.... Would i have just changed the seal number on the paperwork after that was sent over a message on the ####comm...yes sir and then delivered the load....your ### was covered at that point... but to each their own
