SEALY, Texas - A child died and his mother was injured Thursday morning after a truck crashed into a Highway 90 bridge causing debris to fall on top their car on Highway 36, according to Sealy police.

Investigators said a Texas Disposal Services truck was traveling around 10 a.m. down Highway 36 when the boon attached to the truck hit an overpass on Highway 90. The ruble from the crash fell onto Highway 36, where a mother was driving northbound with her two sons — one child sitting in the front passenger seat, the other in the back — inside a white car.

Tragic- I wonder about the boom being up part. There are some low bridges around there- I wonder if the boom was down, but still too high to clear.

Happens too often in Texas. Oilfield folks too tired. I've seen 2 overpasses taken out around Midland.
    Stupid, no reason.
