I’m not sure where to post this in the forums. I recently got my class A and got a job working reefer. I’m at a pretty nice gig so going to try and gain several years of experience with them while I get fully endorsed. The summer time has a lot of work but during the winter it tends to slow down a little bit.

In the future I’d like to find some sort of contract or seasonal work out of state maybe working up in Alaska or maybe down south in the oil fields. I’m not sure if it’s possible or not to contract with somebody for 3 months during the winter then go back to the company I was working for prior.
Sorry it’s a bit of a broad question. Would this be something more along the lines of owner operator?

If you have enough experience you can work for a driver leasing company. You tell them when you are available for work.

    BuffTruckalo Thanks this.
