I have two Volvo 670’s, a 2012 and 2013. On both units the seat belt chime beeps after the seat belt is engaged. I’ve tried several things, been to a few mechanics and no one can figure this out. Anyone had/have this problem?

My old Volvo did that. I had the shop changed out the belts & it stopped. They said it gets worn down & the sensor didn't register the belt locking in.

Unplug the wire that connects to the inner side of the driver's seat belt. Bend a small paperclip and place it in that wires sensor so the circuit is completed. If the chime stops then you need to replace the seat belt mount - where the seat belt latches into.

Never had seat belt chimes in any big truck, some have had idiot light...In my personal daily driver I drilled a hole through the chime located behind the fuse panel...well worth it!

Or you could just wear your seatbelt like the law requires and not get thrown under your car if you roll.

I stuck a paper clip in mine and folded it under the flooring about 3 years ago. No more noise.

They all go bad on Volvos, my parts guy told me, and they aren't cheap. Just unplug the thing.
