I am taking care of it. And I was never holding the middle finger to anyone. I was just worried about not appearing, it said failure to appear will result in suspension on the ticket, the clerk said all the tickets say that. She said if I don't appear, I'm found guilty by default and have 60 days to pay it. I was never intentionality going to ignore it, but had no plans of driving 500+miles to appear either. All I wanted to know was whether or not I would be suspended. On another note, while I was talking with the clerk, i found out that a driver with the same name as mine received a hefty overweight ticket, glad I found that and immediately had that cleared up.

simple answer-- talk to a real lawyer for your options. all tickets are worth fighting period.!!

The only state that can suspend you license is the state that issued it, only thing they can legally do is not honor it in that state

The OP will spend more for 30 minutes of lawyer time than he will paying the ticket. In most states, seat belt violations won't affect your license.
