The fine stated on that site is incorrect on the amount for Iowa. It is definitely $50. haha

Nope no bad ### just stating that i know the laws in pa and tired of are freedoms being taken away every day while people just let it happen why is it you have to wear a seatbelt but yet you don't have to wear a helmet to ride a motorcycle?

If a State does not allow you to be pulled over for a seat belt, all the officer has to do is say you were doing something else also, like "Too fast for conditions", or "Failure to signal a lane change".

The Police officer sees you have no belt on. He thinks "well, there is an easy ticket to write up". He watches you drive for a minute or two, then pulls you over. He says you failed to maintain your proper lane position, or maybe were following the car in front of you too closely. Now that he has you pulled over for this false claim, he just happens to notice you have no seat belt on.

Technically, the law says they can't pull you over for it, but you can still be pulled over if the cop wants to, and needs to finish his day with a ticket.

Do you expect an honest answer from a recruiter? Call the safety department if you call anyone.

I know they can in IN . I had a passenger in my POV that refused to wear a seat belt . We got stopped and he got ticketed . :biggrin_2559:
