    You should ask the other company why they say 1099 and wait to hear crickets, the dial tone, or anger in the voice on the other end. To add humor do it in your best impression of their voice and/or accent. I like to put them on the spot when they say that dumb crap to me when I was a company driver, and ask what makes them think I am a contractor, just cause you say so?

    Haha, the weird thing is they claim to have w2 as an option but still take out the $150 per paycheck…

    Western Express I was in your shoes a few years ago but I didn't have a reportable. We do have terminals out West but not in Texas. I am not sure if we hire out of Texas either.

    They turned me down. They do hire out of Texas but being fired from a job for a DOT reportable is a deal breaker for almost all companies, second chance or not.

    Thankfully PTL took me. I explained everything is detail to them & hired me anyways. So I’ll tough it out for now. It’s something. Thanks man I appreciate it tho.
