On 12/6 I was driving in northern Vermont and slid on some black ice ending up on the medium. I was the only vehicle involved in the accident but there was some damage to the bumper of the truck and had to get towed out. I wasn't cited by the police and at first was put in a hotel for a couple of days. About a week later I was at the terminal and terminated. This was my fault and I take responsibility for it but no companies seem willing to take a chance on me. Do I have any options here or should I start thinking about doing something else?
I'm looking for an OTR job out of the Chicago area or Houston would work as well. I have about 1.5 years experience and besides the accident I have a clean background. I haven't really looked into those 1099 companies out of Chicago but I have a feeling that is my only option right now and am willing. If anybody could point me in the direction of company that gives drivers a second chance I would really appreciate it.

If you in houston there's local companies that will hire you. Before you go to the road check central transport and the roofing companies such as srs in spring or first builder source out of conroe.
