Awesome advice! This makes me want to get out there even more.
Who could pass up making 100K a year for at Max 6 months training????? I would go OTR for a couple years and then find a local job where i am home nights and weekends! That would be a Nice job!
It does not matter what you do. I think ANY job EVER has it's down sides and up sides. Some have more down sides than up-sides but guess what? You will not be homeless and you wont be making no 10K a year like the people that work at Wal Mart folding cloths.

The only real test is the CDL test and test to pass the school correct? Can you elaborate on the tests you are talking about? I have yet to do any schooling yet.
Thanks. -
To get your CDL Permit you have to Pass 3 multiple Choice test, Air Brakes, General Knowlage, Combinations. Pass those and you get a permit.
Then you go to school and Then You do the Pre Trip Inspection Test, Backing Test, Road test to get your Real CDL.
Then you can take more multiple choice test to get HAZMAT, Tankers, Doubles, Triples, Passengers
American Truckerac120 Thanks this. -
So these schools will continue to help you until you get the CDL? What if you fail a test and your paying them for training? How does that work?
-
it goes school to school but most will keep training you for free (some do charge) until you pass. Schools that have their own 3rd party testers....you DONT fail unless you SUCK! DMV testers are much harder on you oviously lol
American Trucker -
thanks Americian Trucker you made it much clearer. the tests I mean are the written tests for your permit.
