Duh, it's rolling up your windows and locking your keys inside.

secure cab is when you enter the cab using 3 points of contact, place gear shift lever in lowest forward gear, pop air-brake control valves, remove key from ignition, exit cab using 3 points of contact and chock tire.

    Wait.

    Hold up

So you enter, put it in gear, pop the valves and take the keys. Then get out and chock a tire.

    Another question now.

What was happening to the truck before? If we assume none of the things were done prior, the truck was sitting there in neutral, brakes released and wheels not chocked.

What is this school teaching you...

I'm going to start chocking all 14 (ss on drives) tires when parked at night at the truck stop. May take a few moments, but I'll be secure...

Don't forget to put it in the low gear and take the keys out of the ignition.

much of it is a call out procedure considering the valve control knobs are already popped, tires already chocked when you walk onto the course. to show that you know the process of securing the rig prior to exiting. then after the brake checks you've actually got to execute the steps.

The motor is more likely to turn the higher the gear. If the motor turns the truck will roll.

In low gear the motor has to turn like 5 or more times to rotate the final drive once. The higher up the gear tree you go, the slower and less rotations the motor needs (But increases level of horse needed and torque consumed plus fuel burn etc) to turn your final drive. Eventually in direct it should be one to one. Overdrive or double over, the motor will slow or turn even less, the final drive will rotate more. Giddy up go.

Well, wish me luck y'all. Going to bed. Keys in ignition, trailer valve is still pushed in, truck is in neutral and if someone chocked my tires while I've been here that would be pretty special.

Who knows where I'll be when I wake up...
