My flatbed training consisted of about 30min going over JJ Kellers book with a former driver he also said the same things others have mentioned (common sense, overkill) that was 4 years ago and I have yet to have a claim, load shift, fall off, or hassles from DOT. Still to this day I get some loads that leave me scratching my head wondering how in the hell am I going to get all of this crap to stay put. Overkill is your friend.

What I take issue with is the handles sticking straight up in the air like that and not locked against the deck.
That situation there is practically begging for his chains to loosen up. -

This was a head scratcher. Axles and transmissions were easy but those motors had 4 chains each to get the proper pull without them tipping or being damaged. Customer was shocked when I showed up and the motors were standing like that. He was expecting them to be laying down.
