I absolutely understand what the conversation is about. If you read my earlier post #5 . i agreed that he should use straps. And I understand that the only place that you can secure your straps on a flatbed is around a pocket or an idler. I wasn't arguing that at all. I was simply stating ( since he didn't state what kind of cars he was hauling..i.e. insurance cars, auction cars or new cars) that lasso a wheel is frowned upon at our yard. So maybe you are the one that should read before typing. Thanks for the input though...Last edited: Jun 22, 2018

Have the same trailer...Have hauled several vehicles and I won't use chains due to them being more prone to damage if your not careful or know what your doing IMO. For me good axle straps with sleeves secure and roll on.. I have seen a few guys use chain and binders and overtighten and bend or break stuff on vehicles.

Who's yard do you keep referring too that wheel lasso straps are frowned upon??? I've picked up new, used, auction and never had a issue. I'm guessing the company you work for is who you keep referring to has the problem with them. Also you can use the same lasso straps as axle straps if that will make you feel better BigBob410. Chains and binders are absolutely out of the question, not gonna risk damages...

Not just my company. All of the companies hauling new cars out of CSX yards. Did I say something that bothered you? You keep adding smart ### comments in posts regarding me. Is there something you feel like you need to prove or some sort of issue where you need to prove you know something??

BigBob410 I'm not sure why you're all over me when you state yourself that lasso straps would be best for a flatbed. All I did was show the guy some pics so he'd have an idea of what he could use... BigBob410 I'm done with you my guy

Your original post quoting me said "that I should read b4 I speak" when in my original I said the same thing you did. Then I added in another post that most, not all manufacturers of new cars, which is what we haul out of the CSX yard where I mostly haul out of, frowns on lasso type straps since the O.P. didn't specify what type cars he was hauling. Then you said "if it makes you feel better" in you next post. I simply try to add as much info as I can in what I post here to try to help when I can.DrDieselUSA and Big B's Transport Thank this.
