Most definitely not on the frame. Outer edges of the bed are braced pretty good.

I do a lot of rubber tire machines as well.

None of the pics you posted are of a 10'6 wide tracked machine which is what triple6 is referring to.

All the pics you posted have the tracks mainly on your actual trailer. If you have a wider machine, it will place the majority of the weight load on the outside of the frame.

However the Volvo 210blc appears to only be 10' wide with a track gauge of 8' so the majority of the weight should be on his trailer so he should be Ok. (Assuming my calculations / research is correct.)

So the volvo weighs near 51000 lbs. I think it is going back and they can go find someone else to haul it. 51000 pounds is a far cry from the 47000 I was told this thing was. I'm legal on my axles but grossing 82800.

I see what your saying. Your talking about like on an RGN.

Yeah.... no I would not put something like that.. and that heavy on my trailer.

They always lie. When ever I pick uo a machine I'm not sure about.. Ritchie Bros has specs listed for many many machines.. I use that as a starting point to decide if I am going to load that machine or not.

36k often turns onto 47 - 48k. I cant scale 48k. I'd be in the same boat your in.

The shipper appears to have been lying to avoid the proper rates to include permits etc...

Since your turning it down, mind sharing how much it paid and where it was going?

I'm all for drivers out there finding the best paying freight they can fit on their trailer. But its better to see drivers ask questions and know their limits even though you should always be pushing yourself to grow your limits.

    You got my respect driver.

the load was going down to El paso, tx. it was only paying 2.25 a mile after permits were taken out. Better to haul little oversize for over 2 bucks than haul 47000 of tarped garbage for 1.48/mi. Or so I figured.

My guess $2.50 - $3 mi. Thats the kind of BS I've come across. They think if they can get it on a step, they can pay less to ship it. Sadly in many cases it gets moved on a step, when it really needed to be on an RGN.

I've done a couple machines that when I saw it in person, I questioned whether I really wanted to put my equipment through all that.

    Ouch..

Texas is getting as bad as Fla with rates any more. Unless its for the oil field.. its not paying squat.. and guys are moving it cheap.
