Plastic coated 10" steel pipe. No chains allowed, no belly wraps attached to the trailer allowed, and it has to ride from houston to the ND oil fields. It's not set against the pipe stakes either. The whole load is supposed to sit there in the center.

    Pyramid load I hope.....

    Was it blocked properly?

    Why no belly-wrap?

Pyramid load. I wouldn't say it was blocked properly since half of them came off. The blocks, I mean. There were belly wraps, but you couldn't use your regular straps, like go all the way round from the winch and hook it to the rail because for some reason the belly wraps couldn't be attached to the trailer, just around the pipe itself. Minimum of 8 inches, they said, so four 2" straps.

As I found out, that was not enough.

I've hauled bridges biggest on a trailer was 98 feet long and 24 feet wide they're not hard to haul at all. The biggest bridge I've moved was 170 ft long by 44 ft wide we set it on bolsters between four bedtrucks 2 going forward and the others backing up moved it 19 miles. Biggest challenge was keeping the trucks from straying too far apart so we used a chain between the front bumpers to keep them straight. We've also put a bridge on three trucks and crossed the green river with it literally driving across the river.

I just got my first pipe load today, first solo pickup too. It's pyramid stacked with 4 pipe stakes. I used two belly chain belly wraps n 7 straps. It's actually casing, not pipe. Each one is 42' long, n I got 65 of them. Total weight is over 47,000#, which puts me over 78,000# gross. I made it through rush hour in Houston without it moving in me, tommorow well try Dallas.... delivers tommorow in Oklahoma City
