Call the safety dept. of the orange trucks in Wi.
They used to haul the elc. ones years ago out of New Orleans.. Most of the time they nailed chock blocks in the floor.
But they lost a few due to drivers taking turns like they were nascar drivers. Shot them right out the sides.

I used to haul them in vans all the time, I worked for a righing company and it's how we hauled our clean room lifts usually have the securing chains in te floor like on a flat then chain down as usual. Can also use blocking and logistics straps but that's was usually my last choice
MNdriver Thanks this. -
unfortunately, I don't have tiedowns in my floor. Will have to look into that possibility though for future flexibility.

insert name are those Sprinters from SC? Used to pick them up there, you most likely have them secured with blocks and logistic straps, like mentioned. That's how we got them.
Pretty much the answer for you MNdriver, you'll need blocking all the way around with those wheels (front, back and side), parking brakes set, steering wheel locked down with strap so it won't turn (remember most hilo's are rear steer).
Like one poster said, you have to, like flatbed, stop them from getting any momentum, so any and all devices will help. Heck, even some 4" strap nailed and cleated to the floor with wood blocking.
Good Luck -
