Sorry, I just found the rest of the Ravelco posts. At least Ravelco worked with you to try to resolve the problem and refunded you when they couldn't see the problem to fix it. Would have been interesting to see what happened with it. Sounds like something rubbed through and partially shorted since it was working for 4 months. Lots of bounce in these rigs. Good luck finding a security system that works for you. Thieves have scanners that can open doors by capturing the factory or aftermarket keyless entry (including alarm systems) and start push button ignitions. They no longer need to capture the code when a remote is used to lock it.

Radio based alarms and keyless entry systems are now security risks, it appears. Even if a solution is found going forward, there are a lot of current/older vehicles out there. -
LEO friend just told me the new aluminum body F-series trucks are being scanned and stolen. No door or window damage so they are looking at these scanners being the new theft tool being used. Time to bolt a safe to the frame of the rig and put all the good stuff in it.
