Quite funny to hear about LM. I would bet that any govt. contractor would take credit for something that they only had a part in.

I appreciate the offer on TSMT, but if they're in bad shape then I'll pass. Looked at their website and wasnt impressed.

My husband still has friends that work for TSMT and they are only getting 1 load a week and then sitting for 3-4 days, and they just cut their rates back, that they are paying the drivers.

No driving experience lol. Did college, then the corporate thing for a couple of years. Separating from the Nat. Guard soon.

Always wanted to drive since I was a kid. The opportunity came up but I want to get a good view of the industry before I jump in. Been looking at all kinds of posts for the past couple of weeks. Have learned alot from this site.

Boyle is another munitions carrier you may want to look into... The DOE (Dept. of Energy) has a couple of locations that they ship stuff out from.. You could look at their website and see about being a currier there..

If memory serves me correctly, you have to be under 30 Y/O.. and you will have to relocate to either Amarillo, TX (Pandex corp.) or Mississippi I think.. They haul nuclear weapons components all over the USA.. Places like Bangor NSB, WA; Kings Bay, GA; ect.

I have 1 too.. Have had a Secret clearance since 1982.... Hasn't helped much with getting driving jobs.. I was too late to go to the DOE.. When I found out about them I was past their max. age requirement..

I could go civilian and haul munitions, but you have to run team, have to have a Qcomm w/ a panic button, have to go 2 safe havens while loaded if stopping.. I never found anyone I liked that much to be cooped up with 24/7 in a 8x8 truck... LOL
