I've never had a problem on the road in my 5 yrs of driving.
my girlfriend is also an OTR driver. She runs solo and she is 5'4" and 115 lbs. she has never had an issue either in her 7 yrs of driving. She frequently parks at truckstops and rest areas.

ID theft is from using credit/debit cards.
I've gone back using cash for most small purchases.
other than that I've only been accosted once while out on the road.
