    yes whatever is available, in our terminal which is very homey and small, hubby was given a volvo no top bunk very yeucky interior. Next to it was an older Freightliner, I poke hubby and say ask for the Freightliner, hubby says no, I poke firmly, hubby asked for and got Freightliner. lol
    Prob wont happen in a big terminal but we took a chance and she is just wonderful!
    Shhhhh dont tell her she does have a few flaws, dont think her pride would ever recover if she knew.:biggrin_25525::biggrin_25525::biggrin_25525:

    Depends on your drive test and experience but the full time is 240 hours

    what if i do 160 hours at a community college then go to them and the school is a certified school A community college In the capitol of IL

    You will still have to complete a training period of 240 hours with a mentor. The college gets you your CDL and teaches you some basics, your mentor shows you how Swift wants it done.

    Regarding trucks: as a new company driver, I kind of had pick of the litter of available trucks. There were Volvos and Columbias at the time. I took a Columbia.

    You won't start off driving 10 hours a day. Figure about 6 weeks (more or less) with your mentor.

    you will drive the first 50 hours and you and your mentor will be considered a solo truck, then after that yall will be consirded a team truck and time will fly by then. good luck
