so what were you looking for with your first post again? Legal advice from a lawyer on here? (which i dont think there is any) OR was it money. You are confusing. The money part i could understand, becuase people swindle money from people everyday. and yeah im sure it will be "all over the news"

With so many companies looking for drivers and paying well, why in the hell would anyone just work for free, repeatedly, for months?

I feel for you guys, only because I have compassion for the plight of another human. Where I may not be as abrasive as Don379, I do agree with him. I, personally, would be gone as soon as a company got funny with my money. I drive for cash. That's it. While some of us like the open road, truck life blah blah blah, the main objective is a paycheck. If the owners asked you to "help" them out, then that is a huge red flag indicating bad management. Trucking is a very lucrative business and for an owner to ask drivers to work for free until they get it together is a no can do for me. I don't know the real story here and may never know. If you guys are legit with your claims, I really hope you get help. I have never been homeless so I really can't relate to that predicament. But I do know that I would never work for free.
Best of luck -
Thank you. I appreciate that. They hired him with not a lot of experience and helped us out a little in the beginning so we kinda made friends with her and believed her when she came up with excuses about the money, it ranged everywhere from merging with this other company had finances tied up to the accounting department misentered the loads he did... we do feel stupid for waiting so long to contact the authorities and file a complaint, but when we did, they fired him and lessons learned....
slow.rider and NavigatorWife Thank this. -
