I'm talking about the MCP-200 qual-com system. Maybe it's not new to you but it is to me.
As far as my previous post is concerned, I did hit the "Enter" button 2 or 3 times and then spaced over 5 spaces to start a new paragraph (the way I learned to start a new paragraph some 50 years ago) but for reasons unknown by myself the new paragraphs did not show in the final post. I have no idea why. If you want to press it you could take it up with The Truckers Report.
Finally, if you'll re-read my last post you'll see that at no time did I ever say I was told to put my complete faith in the MCP-200 navigational system. As a matter of fact, I was solidifying the fact that I was told not to and was merely recounting my first experience with using it.
By the way, when one inserts an asterisk (*) into a sentence, it usually means to look for a footnote at the bottom of the page with another asterisk in front of it. Didn't see one it your post.

I'm soo sorry I'm not perfect. The asterisks are because I'm old school and that makes #### stand out when you dont have a bold button. Soo sorry.* I was not trying to start #### by telling you to push enter. I lose my ####### place easily trying to read that god #### #### with no paragraphs. So ####### sorry.** And my paragraphs work fine.***

As for the mcp-200 qualcomm, I googled for it and it looks like a very nice setup. I have never used one before, but I heard a little bit about schneider's system.

I'm sorry I misread your post regarding the navigation system.**** I couldn't ####### read it without paragraphs. So sorry.*****

    Footnotes:
    *Not really, dont care.
    **Not really, care even less.
    ***Yup, sure do.
****Not really, not sorry at all.
    *****Nope, dont care.

Before spring brake you had to air up the trailer then use the trolley valve to hold the trailer, or of course don't back under like a moron.

The yellow valve is simply a shut off on the air supply not really a brake valve, the spring brakes just happen to engage on low air by design.

Big Cove. Sounds like we just missed each other in Carlisle by 2 days. Too bad. I think I already described myself in a post to Jon Day a couple of weeks ago so if you see me just yell "Hey you with the shell!":biggrin_25523:

While were complying like female dogs, how about knock off the number signs. A few breaks do make it more readable, and after all if your not posting and writing for it to be read then why bother posting at all. Most do not bother to read long drawn out story's. Has to be easy to read.

My trainer didn't have the new e-log on his truck. he had a Garmin he had provided himself. He told me to always request SNI directions and compared the two. He would only use the Garmin if it corresponded with the SNI directions. Otherwise, he used the Garmin until we would get to the exit and then use SNI directions. he did say that even SNI directions could take you down a restricted road, so still pay attention to the signage. But he said SNI directions are about 98% reliable. I will use ALL the tools I have to the best of my ability, not just the navigation system. After all, navigation is a relatively new technology and I have been finding my way around with maps for years.

He also told me that my truck will probably have the new system. Schneider is outfitting all of the reassigned trucks with it.

I will tell you one thing that has me a little concerned. He just got a PM done on his truck Saturday evening. He has a 2010 Freightliner he got in July. His PM was overdue about three weeks for not being able to get it scheduled when he was to be at an OC. Anyway, after having it done Saturday evening, today he is stuck in Knoxville at a Freightliner dealer with no power, turbo problems, and a bad oil leak.:biggrin_2556:None of those problems existed while I was with him. I don't know that it was a result of the PM...I'm just sayin'. It does make me question the maintenance department's reliability.

They must have hired a mechanic that just got fired from werner!!

seriously though, it is a freightliner....and that all sounds like one problem to me. Turbo problem = no power, turbos have an oil feed directly from the engine's oil pump to lubricate their bearings.

I dunno if you saw my post but i just had my truck stuck at freightliner for a week!

Hey was wondering if someone can explain what the home run program is, I did read on this post that its 2 weeks out and 1 week back at home. Are you solo driving with this program? Seems that its a better than being out 3 weeks and getting 3 days off, or so I have read. Just curious if this is better for more home time, wouldn't everyone do it? to get a nice full week back at home. Do you just let them know during you training/schooling that you want to do the Home Run Program? pays less or the same for new students? They still reimburse the schooling tuition when choosing to sign on with them? I apologize for all the questions, lol

How is trucking and being out for 2 weeks treating you Twisted?
    Thanks for the info
