Thanks everyone for your feedback so far. I just don't want to make a rush decision.

Go to Bernie Little Budweiser and fill out a app and tell them what you are looking for. They have a great training program. When I go into work Sunday night I'll check our job board and see if we have anything at the Lakeland building. I believe the Sysco in Lakeland also does a dock to driver program. Apply with Publix...you probably won't hear anything back but I would at least try, the other grocery warehouses like c&s might do training so it's worth calling them too.

Good luck and let us know what you decide.

Check with Ridge Career Center northeast of Winter Haven about their training program. They have access to government grants. When I went there to train for my Class A cdl all I had to pay for was my dot physical and a few bucks application fee. Government grants covered the rest. All seven attendees, when I was there in 2011, were covered by the government grants.

Thank you guys! I want to get started in school asap but don't have the money up front in tuition. I will check on the grants. But just wanna make sure I choose a good paying company with at least some of my preferences!
