Ive been digging through various threads trying to decide between LS and SC. I have seen LSs actual load board and nothing there scares me. But I havent been able to even glimpse the SC board. I was looking to get a refer with LS (please dont say flats is the way to go, way to old to be doing that) or going the van route with SC.

I havent bought a truck yet. I have 50k cash and I have stocks worth another 120k that I can cash in if I have to and a credit score of 850. I got my CDL in 84, so Ive been around a while, but always as a company driver. So I was planning on getting a 3-4 year old freightshaker cash and heading out. But I would kind of like to see what is really out there before I invest that kind of cash in this endeaver. if you know what I mean.

Hey there @GAPathfinder. Does Schneider still offer these benefits? As I am currently looking into them.

Almost everything has changed since 2014. Best to talk with the recruiter for these details.

    Or @Opus might know.

Didn't read it all, but it looks pretty much the same as I experienced it.
Here's what you need to know:
Schneider is straight up. If they say so, it's so. No games.
Right now I wouldn't lease or buy from anyone. Prices are outrageous.
Give it until at least August or so, watch the market, and be patient.

But, at the end of the day, would I do Schneider again? Indeed. I think about it every day.

But now is not the time.
    Be patient.
    And good luck.

    gentleroger Thanks this.

and in the meantime, run the company truck like you own it and are paying for fuel.... Develop those good habits on someone else's dime, not yours!!!!
