The issue, I suspect, is a recruiter that doesn’t know what they actually need for documentation.

Call Andrea Mueller, the head of recruiting for Prime. She should be able to clear things up for you.

My bad I didn't realize you were struggling to get a CDL. Totally different thing. I thought you were asking about your taxes as a poker player on a trucker forum lol. There's this whole other forum for that...

Companies these days for new entry level drivers won't accept a persons word that they were self employed, mainly if the company is providing the cdl school also. They will accept tax returns or W-2 forms, even though they may not be legal documents.

My recruiter at transport said corporates wanted to verify my employment with the two mistakes I made, neither would take her calls, bucks never gave me a pay stub, and Crace have me a few. Both were out of the game at the time

Talked to 2 different recruiters for TMC and Prime, neither know what to do right now and neither of them have gotten back to me about it. The only verification that I have are 3 roommates for references, or there is something called Bravo that tracks you every time you sit down at a poker table as long as you swipe your card, so they could verify that way. Neither of these are great options, but hopefully they will accept it. I will call Andrea tomorrow and see what she has to say.

Prime and TMC are the two most difficult companies to be hired by.
    Try some others:
    Contract Freighters (www.cfidrive.com)
    Jones Bros. Trucking (Missoula,Montana)
    Carter Express
Schneider - has a school in Gary, Indiana
    Stevens Transport
If you want west coast runs, look at Stevens, Jones Bros., Contract Freighters.

Unemployed would be it. Playing poker is not a recognized work work...

I say one thing though... anyone hiring you will probably route you away from Vegas and the like with your taste for gambling. I'll keep that to yourself.

I enjoy a round of table cards myself now and then, but that's for me to win or lose, employment has nothing to do with it.

It's work. Trust us. It's self employed work. I made my living at it for years. It's nothing like when you sit down to play cards... It's closer to being the house.

OP just needs to find someone who is OK with this. Can't be too hard in this economy with this driver shortage.

OH. That is different, if you are the house dealer. With a pit boss supervising etc.

I was thinking that here we had a gambler on the player side of the table.

If you were a house dealer then by all means that's employment.
