I don’t know who it was. It was circulating Facebook a few months back. A buddy sent it to me. The only one I saw first person was the roll off truck that was 16’ tall. Just cruising trough town. He hit every line. I was just waiting for him to pull one down. Never did though. Somehow they all just bounced off.

on the loading/unloading deal…
why put a guy with almost no experience running machines versus I guy that runs them all day long?
I can and do load or unload but prefer the machine owners/ users do it while I keep an eye on the mess….just my preference
as far as scrapers go - they are a team sport …..someone else’s team. You know - like the Russian or Chinese teamPPLC, Blue jeans, REO6205 and 8 others Thank this. -
We scrounged some used conveyor belting out of the rock pit. It works but it's clumsy. You can't turn while you're loading or the belting wads up. Hard to roll up when you're done, too. Good cushion though.PPLC, Blue jeans, IH9300SBA and 4 others Thank this.

Plus, who in their right mind wants me running their 2 million dollar crane? I did offer, when I was cape Canaveral, to run the crawler that moves the rockets - no joy
-
Well, we don't have one and at this stage of the game aren't likely to get one. We don't move the sheeps foot very often and that's just fine with everyone.PPLC, OLDSKOOLERnWV, cke and 2 others Thank this.

I've never run a crane but we moved an old Washington yarder with the boom up one time. Once was enough. We got it on and off alright and we didn't break anything but it took us four hours to move and that's a long time to hold your breath.PPLC, Blue jeans, kylefitzy and 5 others Thank this.

Those bomags are really narrow between the drums. There is a guy out of Baltimore that had a beam made special just for them. I think you need 37 or 38” width max to get them. I’m sure you could get creative with blocking and probably make something work. But yes a beam would be the best way.

yeah, I forgot about those ######## - we booked one on the bigger ones and ended having to load it ona flat deck - it was ugly on the plywood we laid down and ugly on the height - all in all a pain in the buttocksPPLC, Blue jeans, cke and 3 others Thank this.

I carry heavy duty plastic sheets on the back of the trailer to lay on the deck.
Haven't had any punch through the deck yet.
Pretty tough stuff.PPLC, Blue jeans, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 6 others Thank this.
